On Monday, August 21, 2017, Fountain Lake students made their way to the football field to view a partial solar eclipse. The school provided students with glasses to watch the eclipse safely. After counting down the weeks, days, and hours to view the rare phenomenon, high school and middle school students gathered in the bleachers to watch the moon slowly make its way over the sun. This was the first solar eclipse to pass over the US in thirty eight years.
